MARGUERITE EWING
Funeral services for Marguerite Mary (Bouse) Ewing, 99, was Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, Fairview, Okla.  Reverend Rich Redinger officiated. Burial followed in the Homestead Cemetery, Homestead, Okla. Arrangements were by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Marguerite was born May 25, 1911 in  Homestead, Okla. on the family farm to Albert Ross and Nettie (Woolridge) Bouse and passed away Aug. 25, 2010, at the Okeene Hospital, Okeene, Okla.

Marguerite at the age of 8 years old lived with her aunt and uncle, John E. and Myrtle Bouse after her mother died. She attended school in Homestead. Marguerite received her teaching certificate from the College in Alva. For the next few years she taught elementary education at Vilas, Isabella and Peerless schools. On May 25, 1933 she married Raymond Elton Ewing and started her family. Over the next few years they were blessed with a son, Milton and a daughter, Marjorie. She was a loving mother and wife that took care of her husband and raising her children. Marguerite was a member of the Methodist Church and the Home Demonstration Club.

Marguerite is survived by her son, Milton Ewing of Isabella; her daughter Marjorie and husband Kennett Smith of Winston-Salem, N. C.; daughter-in-law Shirley Ewing of Fairview; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, two grandsons, Troy Ewing and Samuel Boaz Smith, one sister and three brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Fairview Fellowship Home or the First United Methodist Church with the Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. acting as custodian.

MARGARET BARNES

A memorial service for Margaret Barnes, 39, Stillwater, will be at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Margaret was born to Chester and Patricia (Clifton) Arthur on Sept. 29, 1971, in Enid, and died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, in Stillwater.

She grew up in Ringwood.   After high school, Margaret moved to Stillwater and attended O.S.U.  She worked as a nurse’s aide at several nursing homes.

Surviving are her father, Chester and Mary Arthur, Ringwood; mother Patricia Arthur, Stillwater; son Daryl Barnes, St. James, Mo.; and brother Alan Arthur, Bixby.

ROY HUCKLEBERRY

Graveside service for Lee Huckleberry was Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery.  Arrangements were by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born to Cecil and Helen (Long) Huckleberry on March 27, 1931 west of Canton, and died on Saturday, August 28, 2010, in Enid.

He graduated from Longdale High School in 1949, and served in the United States Army. He worked at Hackney Iron & Steel until retiring.  Roy was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by two brothers John Huckleberry (Norma), and Jack Huckleberry (Della) of Enid; and several nieces and nephews.

FERN STEWART
Funeral service for Fern Stewart, 91, was Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Aline United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Heusel and Rev. Roy Wahlgren officiating.  Burial followed in Aline Star Cemetery with Lanman Funeral Home, Inc of Helena in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com.  

Fern Stewart was born on June 29, 1919 in Kellyville, Okla. the daughter of Harry Bruce and Viola Maples Hueston and departed this life on Aug. 27, 2010 in Fairview, Okla. 

She and Ross Edgar Stewart were married and first made their home in Stillwater, then Wichita, Kan. finally settling on a farm near Aline where resided for 65 years.  Fern was a member of the Friendly Quilting Club, the Aline Silverettes Homemakers and Bridge Club.  She was a member of the Aline United Methodist Church.

Fern is preceded in death by her husband, Ross Edgar Stewart; her parents, Harry and Viola Hueston; two grandsons; three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Doris Jean Ludlow and husband, Darrell, William (Billy) Bruce Stewart, James Orval Stewart, Ross Edgar Stewart, Jr. and wife, Susie; 12  grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

BILL CLESTER
Celebration of Life service for Bill Lane Clester, 69, will be Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Faith Center Fellowship in Meno with Pastor Cody Anderson officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery east and south of Okeene with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene.  Viewing will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  The casket will be open before the service at the church. 

Bill was born on May 9, 1941 in Okeene to Albert and Vinita Blunk Clester and passed from this life on Aug. 30, 2010 in Okeene.  He graduated from Okeene High School in 1960.   

Bill married Elaine Richardson at Homestead in 1961 and to this union two children were born:  John and Melinda. 

Bill was awarded Kiwanis Farmer of the Year and Blaine County Farm Family of the year in 1980.  Bill was on the Cimarron Electric Cooperative Board for over 35 years, serving as the current president.  He was an avid farmer, did custom haying, built over 40 stock trailers and was a partner in DBH Helicopter Spraying Service.  Bill and Elaine owned and operated Silly Willies Restaurant in Okeene for over nine years.  Bill barbequed at many community and charitable events with a “Bill Clester” original cooker.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Okeene; son, John Clester and wife, Angela of Okeene; daughter, Melinda Westfahl and husband, Ralph of Ringwood; six grandchildren; one brother, Bob Clester and wife, Caroleen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Those who have preceded Bill in death include his parents; two infant brothers, Don Edward and Johnny Lee.
