I read in the Oklahoman this morning, that the Tyler children were removed from Ardee and Penny's custody, in Shawnee. Does this mean the Fairview vultures were not able to observe this act? At least Penny and Ardee got to tell their story to a reporter from Oklahoma. Judge Barefoot, you did a great job.

I know it must be hard to do the job of a judge in a case that has to do with child abuse, however these children in question have already been through abuse and hard times. That is why they were adopted and brought to the states. We have children all over the US that are abused every day and nobody helps them. Why should we put these children back in harms way or to better clarify myself why should they be placed in a home were the parents have already been convicted of child abuse? if they were trying to adopt again they would be denied so why do we give them another chance? It is up to law abiding people to stand up for those who can not stand up for themselves.

Who will review Judge Warren's decision? Why is his decision, whatever it is, better than Judge Barefoot's? Judge Barefoot has presided over dozens of child custody cases, yet now we determine his judgment is wrong? Do we ask for a review of District Attorney decisions we do not agree with also? This is not an appeal based on law, but a decision. Why hold local elections if when someone doesn't agree with our elected official's decisions, we bring in outside people who we didn't elect? Outside of elections, public pressure and vendettas do not make for a good justice system.

It must be really hard to make a decision when God is the only One who truly knows what is best for the children. I am not saying Judge Barefoot is wrong or right and it's not up to us to judge anyone but sometimes someone has to step in and try to do what they think is right. We are all God's children and it is up to us to take care of one another as if we were family, unfortunately that's just not reality. Good luck Judge Barefoot in you retirement.
