Five vying for pageant crowns
The Fairview Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Miss Fairview and Miss Major County Pageant, taking place Saturday, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m., at the Fairview Public Schools Arts and Education Center.
This exciting evening will feature five outstanding young women competing for the titles of Miss Fairview and Miss Major County. The winner of Miss Fairview will go on to represent the community at the prestigious Miss Cinderella Pageant, hosted by Northwestern Oklahoma State University (NWOSU) this fall.
Each Miss Cinderella contestant will receive a $2,000 scholarship to NWOSU-Alva to be used her freshman year. Miss Fairview will also serve as an ambassador for the Fairview Chamber throughout her reign, engaging in various community events and initiatives.
The titleholder of Miss Major County will also participate in local events and represent the county with pride and grace.
Contestants competing for the title of Miss Fairview and a $500 cash prize are Leslie Helms, Brynlee Nightingale and Addyson Petty. Contestants competing for the title of Miss Major County and $250 are Natalie Miller and Madalynn Whipple.
Miss Fairview Contestant Leslie Helms
Sponsored by Jensen’s Inc., Leslie is the 17-year-old daughter of Aaron and Amanda Helms. A senior at Fairview High, Leslie is involved with FCCLA, cheer and Fairview MBY. She plans to attend college to double major in early childhood and special education.

Brynlee Nightingale
Sponsored by Agri Placements International, Brynlee is the 17-year-old daughter of Chad and Breanne Nightingale. A senior at Fairview High, Brynlee is involved in STUCO, NHS, cheer and Fairview MBY. Her future plans include attending college with the goal of becoming an ultrasound technician or radiologist.
Miss Fairview Contestant Addyson Petty
Sponsored by KWR Trucking and Repair LLC., Addyson is the 17-year-old daughter of Thomas Petty and Brandy and Justin Edwards. A senior at Fairview High, Addyson is involved with NWTC Cosmetology, cheer, Fairview MBY and FCA. She intends to obtain a business degree with the goal of opening her own salon.
Miss Major Co. Contestant Natalie Miller
Sponsored by Hear-ology, Natalie is the 13-year-old daughter of William and Kimberly Miller. A freshman at Fairview High, her hobbies and interests include basketball, golf, organizing and arts and crafts.
Miss Major Co. Contestant Madalynn Whipple
Sponsored by Hammerheads, Madalynn is the 15-year-old daughter of Grant and Kyra Whipple. A freshman at Fairview High, her hobbies and interests include showing cattle, livestock judging, softball and swimming.

The pageant is hosted by the Fairview Chamber of Commerce, with direction provided by Kaci Edwards (Fairview Public Schools), Kimberly Miller (Hear-ology) and Kristi Sproul (Public Service Company of Oklahoma). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and tickets will be available at the door for $5.
